Maci Bookout became a reality-TV star on the premiere episode of MTV's "16 & Pregnant" in 2009. At the time, she and her then-boyfriend Ryan Edwards were expecting their son Bentley.
Later that year, she began starring on "Teen Mom" alongside co-stars Farrah Abraham, Catelynn Lowell, and Amber Portwood. And a few years after that, Bookout met Taylor McKinney whom she would later marry.
A decade later, Bookout appears on the show (which has been renamed "Teen Mom OG") with her husband and earlier this year, MTV aired a special episode of the show dedicated to the couple's love story.
From meeting at a motocross race to starting a family, here's a timeline of Maci Bookout and Taylor McKinney's relationship.

2012: Bookout and McKinney met at a motocross match and began dating shortly after
According to MTV's "Teen Mom OG" special "Maci & Taylor: A Love Story," Bookout met McKinney for the first time at a motocross match. She was there to support her boyfriend at the time, who was a professional racer, but she and McKinney quickly befriended one another.
"I thought he was wild," Bookout recalled on the special. McKinney said he was "really drawn to Maci's confidence."
Shortly after, Bookout and McKinney began a long-distance relationship. At the time, Bookout lived in Tennessee and McKinney lived in Texas. They said they made the most out of it by meeting in different cities for social events and races about every other weekend.
"You spend a lot of time on airplanes by yourself," McKinney said on the special. "It got harder and harder to leave each time."

2014: McKinney moved to Tennessee to be with Bookout
In July, after dating for nearly two years, the pair decided to move in togetherand McKinney made the commitment to leave his friends and family behind in Texas. Their decision to make the move official was documented on "Teen Mom OG."
"just dropped [Taylor] off at the airport," Bookout wrote on Twitter in May 2014. "cant believe that the next time i see him he will officially be a Tennessee resident."
As they recalled on their MTV special, the couple affectionately called their first house together "The Love Shack."

May 2015: The couple welcomed daughter Jayde Carter
She was born on May 29, 2015.
November 2015: The two became business partners
The two launched their own clothing line called Things That Matter in November 2015. The brand sells clothing and accessories for adults, children, and babies.
January 2016: McKinney proposed to Bookout
After much encouragement from the pair's friends and families, McKinney asked Bookout to marry him in January 2016. He custom-designed her ring and proposed to her on the beach. It was filmed by MTV.
February 2016: Bookout announced that she was pregnant again
The pair seemed excited. "baby boy coming soon!" Bookout wrote on Instagram on February 14, 2016.

May 2016: They became a family of five
Just over a year after welcoming Jayde, the couple announced the arrival of their son Maverick Reed on May 31, 2016.
October 2016: McKinney and Bookout got married
They got married in Greenville, Florida, on October 8, 2016. "I'm excited to finally be able to call Taylor my husband," Bookout told Us Weekly at the time.
The pair's children were in the wedding and Maci's son Bentley was a "mini best man" for the ceremony.

2017: Maci had a miscarriage and the couple also sought counseling
During an episode of "Teen Mom OG" that aired in January 2018, Maci shared that she miscarried a little girlin 2017. "Her name's Dandy, Dandelion," she said on the show. The loss was visibly difficult for the couple to discuss on camera.
In June 2017, Maci spoke to a friend on "Teen Mom OG" about her relationship and shared that she and Taylor were seeking counseling. "All of the little things build up because neither of us ever communicate them," she said on the show. "Then all of a sudden we're mad and we don't even know why we're mad."
September 2018: The pair said they want to adopt more children
The couple discussed adoption on the ninth season of "Teen Mom OG," and in September 2018, Bookout told Us Weekly that they were still considering it, but wanted to wait for Maverick and Jayde to get a bit older.
"Taylor and I both always wanted to adopt. Now it's just a matter of timing, and really accepting the process," she told the publication. She also said they want to adopt an older child, not a baby, and they are also open to adopting siblings.
